| What a month it has been, we have had Rally of Canberra and the AASA Rally of Bathurst. ROC went down quite well with Graeme improving his gravel driving throughout the event, even gaining points in the ACT Gold Cup. We finished 24th outright over the whole event and 9th Gold Cup. Wasn't such a good event at Bathurst with Peter Jerie bringing the Mirage out of mothballs for the event. We only made it 17km into the first stage before breaking a driveshaft and the diff.
On the Charade front, we are starting to assemble the engine over the next few weeks. Hoping to do some local events in September and October. Also looking at preparing Andrew's Charade so he can have a run later in the year. As many people in the region are looking at heading to Bega for the long weekend, they may be missing something. That something is that the famous Bega rally isn't being held this year due to the local council being a bit tardy in making a decision about the roads, tis leaving Event Director Graham Roser with no choice but to can the event. Instead I will be heading to Port Macquarie to run with Andy Crane in the Works Peugeot 504. Other big news is that the Australian WRC round next year will be held entirely in NSW around the Northern NSW town of Kyogle. A good chance for some locals to have a run:) Anyway enough from me for now, need to head back to the shed, then a bit of fitness training this afternoon (gotta get fit now I'm going to have a good car!)
