Targa Tasmania 2012 recap

Well Targa 2012 has been run and won. Ray Julian and myself finished 3rd in class in 12th outright in Early Modern. An enormous event this year with quite a bit of extra transports, new stages and a lot of new faces.

Was great to be down in Tassie with a great bunch of people. Also was great to have a clean run, we only went under the bunting once:) but only lost a few secs. Very happy with how the car went, Ray drive it superbly and now we have to redo our fule calcs as the right foot was planted quite a bit this year causing our old fuel calcs to be way out.Targa 2012Targa2012after

Great to see Dean and Tim have a clean run and get their Targa trophies in their first year. Very happy to receive my Gold Targa Trophy this year, now to do it 15 more times to get as good as Jim and Ridgey:)

Targa Tasmania 2012

Ray Julian and myself will be heading down to Tasmania for this years Targa Tasmania. This will be the longest course in the events history, with some major changes over previous years. Looking forward to catching up with some new and old friends at the event, great to see my mate Dean Brajevic having a run in a Porsche this year.

The Early Modern category is going to be very competitive this year, with some top notch cars entered. Ray Julian has spent a lot of time preparing the M3R for the event and is keen on doing well.

We will be running fully electronic with our notes this year, using our Samsung Tablet instead of having paper notes. The system has been tested and seems very good so far. Will give feedback after the event.

We will be posting times and comments throughout the event on our Twitter feed which is on this page, as well as check out our Facebook page for even more highlights.Classic Adelaide
