Rally of Canberra is here again for another year. This year the team will be running the Shaw Vineyard Estate Lancer EVO 6.5 with Graeme Shaw driving. The car has been converted from Tarmac rally spec by Reliance Automotive and PCD Engineering over the last few weeks.
Graeme had his gravel initiation on Wednesday, having a test session with Rick Bates out at Hyles block. The main comment from Graeme was how unstable the car became on gravel at high speeds, and getting used to the surface changes and how much grip there was. Will be very steady over the first few stages learning what the grip levels are like.
The event kicks off in Garema Place in the City centre tonight at 6:30pm with the first stage on Saturday morning, the 28.8km Tidbinbilla stage.
We will be providing updates during the event on this website plus there will be results available at www.roc.com.au

Well it's about to get busy for the team at Baker Motorsport.
Coming up this weekend is the Sports Classic rally at Oberon, I'll be officiating.
Then off to Tasmania on Monday for 9 days for Targa Tasmania with Ray Julian in the BMW M3R.
Back for a couple of days then off to Calder Park to help Shane Tanner with his Proton in the AMRC Production car championship.
So as you can see a busy time, also Rally of Canberra is only a month away.
We have a mega service setup this year, with us running in Graeme's EVO 6.5 that has been converted from tarmac spec, also servicing with us will be the Ute of Doom, also John Stilling and whoever else want's to join us.
Should be a great show for the ACT series.
Although might be a bit short on for officials for the event as everyone want's to compete.
I have set up a special website for Targa Tasmania, hope to post some photos and even some incar footage.
The site is www.rj-motorsport.com
Well that's all from me for the moment, more to come over the next few days.
